Titanate, Zirconate & Aluminate Coupling Agents & Catalysts for Composites

Kenrich Petrochemicals, Inc.’s (“Kenrich”) Ken-React® series of titanate, zirconate and aluminate organometallics provide advancement-in-the-state-of-the-art opportunities for advanced composites that require adhesion to: glass, carbon, aramid fibers; nano-materials such CNT’s, graphene, metal oxides, minerals, silicas, and clays; & non-polar substrates such as fluoro polymers. They also provide: pigment or filler dispersion; nano-particulate exfoliation; intumescent flame retardance; resistance to chemical & salt spray, long term aging & cracking; replacement of tin catalyst; air void elimination; etc.

The ability of Kenrich’s organometallics to couple with all material surfaces via in situ proton coordination to bond dissimilar materials offers you great opportunities for manufacturing new and novel advanced composites. They are often superior to silanes, since surface hydroxyls are necessary for silane condensation coupling and surface hydroxyls are not needed with Ken-React® organometallics. In addition, peroxide cured thermoset reactions can be rendered latent and endothermic thus eliminating air bubbles and micro-cracks resulting in a pin-hole free and smooth composite surface.

Kenrich offers its customers a wide range of organometallics based on their “Six Functions”, with attentive customer and technical service backed by decades of practical experience inventing and making our own plasticizers, dispersions, and specialty chemicals to provide you the solutions you need to bring your adhesives technology to the next level. If you work with advanced composite materials – there is a Kenrich Ken-React® that will make your thermoset resin product better – while using and processing your raw materials more efficiently.
